Although our headquarters is not a fabric store and we do not have fabric inventory, you can always stop by and choose from a variety of upholstery, vinyl, leather, and canvas fabric from our sample books for a competitive and affordable price.
Our specialty is Marine upholstery/canvas and outdoor canvas/furniture, however, we do have the experience and equipment to upholster some indoor furniture. Send us a picture of your furniture and/or stop by to further inspect your piece so we can let you know if we are capable of doing the job. In the case we cannot upholster your furniture, we will be happy to refer you to some of our local upholsterers who can!

Depending on the project, we use two types of marine-grade thread: GORE® TENARA® Thread for all outdoor heavier projects where tinsel strength is imperative. GORE TENARA Sewing Thread is so durable, it will outlast the fabric it’s sewn into. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty, the ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) thread is impervious to sunlight. UV radiation will not weaken or degrade it, which means it maintains its strength and color indefinitely. Unaffected by canvas cleaning solutions, it will not stain, rot, or mildew. And because it’s engineered to last outdoors, dirt wipes right off.
A&E SunStop® Thread for light to medium size outdoor projects. Designed for the outdoor market, SunStop thread is made of 100% continuous filament polyester with enhanced UV and fade protection and a non-wicking finish. Perfect for your outdoor applications requiring UV protection, such as tents, awnings, canvas, patio furniture and marine applications.
Because we do custom upholstery work our prices vary from project to project. We are working on implementing an estimate tool on our website to help you get an idea of our price ranges for our most sought after projects, stay tuned!
Because we do custom upholstery our turnaround time depends on the season, our schedule and the difficulty of your project. Write or call us to get your free quote and ask us about our turnaround time for your specific project once an estimate is provided.
Due to our limited space we ask that you pick up your order within 1 week of your completed order. In special cases we can only hold your order for 30 days if payment is received. Any hold time past 30 days will be at Ocean Fabrics discretion.
Yes! This gives us enough time to inspect and work up an accurate estimate for your project. However, any items left in our shop for estimate purposes and NOT picked up after 30 days from the date of estimate delivery/contact attempts, will be discarded.
